Our Store provides credit card payment options for in-person counselling time with Dr. David McKenzie or live telephone help from Dr. McKenzie. Various books on sexuality can also be purchased here.

Fees

Our fees range between $100.00 and $170.00 per hour (including GST), with the first session being one and one-half hours in length. Each subsequent session is one hour in length at the hourly rate assigned. Payment is made at the end of each session by cheque or cash. First-time clients are asked to pre-pay a retainer fee of a one-hour session by clicking on the photo above and then clicking on the one hour payment option. Please contact us if you have any difficulty . To avoid being charged for a missed appointment, forty-eight hours notice is required for appointment cancellation or re-scheduling. The entire amount of monies prepaid will be crdited to the first appointment. If an appointment is cancelled before forty-eight hours, the entire amount of prepaymnet will be refunded. If the appointment is cancelled or re-scheduled after forthy-eight hours, the prepayment will not be refunded.

Dr. David McKenzie's services as a Registered Clinical Counsellor are covered by many extended health providers. Please speak to your extended health care provider to see if your counselling is covered by your company's plan. In addition, clients whose workplace has an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) may have some or most of their fees covered. Dr. McKenzie is an approved affiliate for Wilson Banwell and Ceridian and is an approved counselling therapist for the R.C.M.P. Health Services.

The number of counselling sessions required varies greatly. However, most counselling requires somewhere between six and twelve sessions. We would hope that clients and couples would see their counselling as an important investment in both their relationship and their future together.
